"The idea that ‘advanced yoga’ is something that would scare you or be something that you can’t do is sort of indicative of the problem. It’s because we’ve associated ‘advanced’ as physical prowess. And I know lots of people who can do really incredible things with their body who are still totally horrible people that you would not want to hang out with. So, it’s an inaccurate way to determine where we are with our yoga practice. And really, how you feel about the fact that you’re alive is more an indicator of where you are in your yoga practice. And there’s no objective metric for that one!"
